Lisa Hendry, R.M.T. Registered Massage Therapist
 |
After a five year career in Landscape design and architecture I ended up in a rehabilitation program for back problems. It was during my own rehabilitation program with a Registered Massage Therapist that I began to explore the possibility of becoming a therapist myself. My love of science, nature and people all fell under the guidelines.

I was especially lucky to be exposed to many great healers and scientists at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. WCCMT is the premiere college of massage therapy education and training in North America. The 3000 hour curriculum represents the highest standard of training available in North America today. Training includes advanced techniques in such areas as: cranio-sacral, myofascial, manual lymph drainage, sports massage and trigger point therapy.
Myofascial work has become a passion for me during my time in practice. Fascia covers all other tissues in the body right down to the cellular level. Malfunction of this system can create pain or dysfunction throughout the body. I have previous myofascial training and have recently completed a program specific to Abdominopelvic Visceral (organs) and Fascial Mobility.
Some causes of Abdominopelvic Visceral and Fascial adhesions include:
- Inguinal hernia
- Digestive tract disorders
- Stress and Anxiety
- Surgery / Trauma
- Cesarean section
My goal is to continue to learn and develop as a therapist so I can provide the best possible care to my clients. My philosophy to treat the mind, body and spirit has led me
My passion comes from working in an environment that is forever challenging. I have chosen a career that ever evolving and inspiring.
I strive to create an environment based on trust, mutual respect and compassion.
